Booking Details and Prices

We take full week bookings (Saturday to Saturday) from mid-March to the end of October, and weekend, midweek and full week bookings from November to mid-March. Winter weekends or midweeks are £230 for either two or three nights, or £350 for the full week (excluding Christmas, New Year and Half Term weeks).

We will hold provisional telephone bookings for a few days and confirm bookings on receipt of a deposit (as shown on the tariff sheet). Payment in full is to be made six weeks prior to arrival by cheque made payable to Sally Ltd (please send cheques to Sally Fielding at Rivendell, Bassenthwaite, Keswick, Cumbria, CA12 4QP).

Guests are asked to vacate the cottage by 10am on the day of departure and not to arrive before 3pm to allow for additional cleaning and maintenance. However, we do expect our guests to leave the cottage in a clean and orderly condition!

Electricity, oil, and linen are included in the price but you do need to bring your own towels.

We have a travel cot that you are welcome to use - we do ask, though, that you bring linen for the cot.

The cottage operates a no smoking policy.

Pets are welcome but I'm afraid we can only accept one dog per booking (unless by prior consent). We do ask that dogs are kept downstairs - we have a policy of not allowing dogs in the bedrooms upstairs.
