Booking & Prices

We take full week bookings (Friday to Friday) from mid-March to the end of October, and weekend, midweek and full week bookings from November to mid-March. Winter weekends or midweeks are £175 for either two or three nights, or £235 for the full week (excluding Christmas, New Year and Half Term weeks).

We will hold provisional telephone bookings for a few days and confirm bookings on receipt of a deposit (as shown on the tariff sheet). Payment in full is to be made six weeks prior to arrival by cheque made payable to Sally Ltd (please send cheques to Sally Fielding at Rivendell, Bassenthwaite, Keswick, Cumbria, CA12 4QP).

Guests are asked to vacate the cottage by 10am on the day of departure and not to arrive before 3pm to allow for additional cleaning and maintenance. However, we do expect our guests to leave the cottage in a clean and orderly condition!

Heating oil, and linen are included in the price. You will need to bring your own towels.
There is a electricty meter that runs on pound coins for lights and the cooker. Generally speaking, you should expect to use about £1 per day.

The cottage operates a no smoking policy.
