CHAPEL COTTAGE: HOW TO FIND US

From the South

  • Leave the M6 motorway at junction 36 for Kendal/Lakes.
  • Follow signs to Barrow (A590).
  • Turn right to Workington (A5092)
  • 3 miles beyond Newby Bridge and follow this road to Broughton-in-Furness (10 miles).
  • Turn right to Ulpha before the River Duddon (3/4 mile beyond Broughton).
  • You will pass the church on your right, then the shop and post office on your left and keep going for just over a mile.
  • Chapel Cottage is on your left (if you get to the hump backed bridge and the pub beyond, you have gone too far).

The postcode for Chapel Cottage is: LA20 6DZ.

If you are using SatNav to get here, then you need to specify directions via Foxfield.

Scenic Route
An alternative route takes you through the Lake District, over Wrynose Pass (the steepest road in England) and then through the Duddon Valley. Drive past the Newfield pub and then Chapel Cottage is two miles further on on your right (if you reach the post office you have gone one mile too far).
