This detached house has stunning views of the Lake District mountains from every window and a garden that is the perfect place to relax in after a day on the fells.

Grange village boasts two tearooms and two churches. There are plenty of pubs in the neighbouring villages. The nearest is the Borrowdale Gates which is a hotel in Grange that has a non-residents’ bar. There is also the Borrowdale Hotel, ¾ mile in one direction or the Riverside bar at Rosthwaite (2 miles) in the other direction. Rosthwaite also has a village shop.

Borrowdale is a wonderful starting point for hundreds of walks – either on the mountain tops or along the bottom of the valley. The house is also only ten minutes drive from all the facilities of the bustling market town of Keswick, with its unsurpassed range of outdoor shops and many pubs, restaurants and cafés. By day, Keswick is the ideal starting point for walkers and climbers, as well as those who want to potter around the shops or take a ride on the steam launch on Derwentwater. By night there is a cinema, or the famous Theatre by the Lake, which puts on plays, shows and concerts all year round.
