| GILLBANK: ACCOMMODATION
Gillbank has two entrances - one via a porch which
leads to a large hallway room with separate storage area for wet
coats and boots; the other leads directly into the warm kitchen.

The kitchen has plenty of space
for cooking for ten. There is a large American style fridge with
cold water and ice dispensers. The cooker has 5 rings and there
is also a microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and
dining area which has a large extending French
Oak table with matching oak chairs and benches to comfortably seat
ten.

The view from the sitting room
The sitting room has two large leather
sofas, a leather chair and leather stool on an oak woodfloor. The
room contains a widescreen television with Sky+ satellite, DVD and
VHS video player. There is a broad fireplace containing a powerful
solid fuel stove with glass windows for safe operation as either
an open fire or a closed stove. Coal and firewood are provided to
create the perfect atmosphere. Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit, cards
and other games are provided for entertainment.

Also, downstairs is a full entrance hall and wet room
for boots and coats. There is a table football game to occupy the
younger (or young at heart) members of your group.

Leading from the sitting room in one direction is
a bathroom with roll top bath, in the other direction is a twin
bedroom - the former Library Bedroom is on the
ground floor and boasts two single beds. The windows look over the
gardens and down the valley over the village of Boot toward the
sea which is approximately seven miles away.
.

Upstairs there are four bedrooms - two doubles and
two twins.
The Master Bedroom has an ensuite
shower room, oak king size bed, oak dressing table and mirror, original
exposed beams and 21 inch television with DVD/video and independent
Sky box.
The other three bedrooms share a family bathroom with
overhead shower.
The Heather Bedroom (below left)
sleeps two with a double bed and it overlooks the large gardens
and orchard to Whillen Beck, a small stream that runs alongside
the property. It is pleasantly decorated in heather colours and
comes with a large chest of drawers and double wardrobe.
The Lindsay room (below right) boasts
two single beds with Lindsay tartan throws and matching cushions.
There is also a chest of drawers and large double wardrobe.

The Duckegg room (below) is decorated
in an attractive duck egg blue design and overlooks the front garden.
It comprises of two single beds a large double wardrobe and a wide
chest of drawers. The Duckegg room also has a large sink and splashback
in the corner.

Outside there is a large garden for children to play
in with a patio area ideal for barbeques. By the adjoining stream
is an old watermill that is part of Gillbank Cottage. The large
grassy area makes a perfect spot for a picnic and the old mill watercourse
is still in place. The stream is fast running and deep in areas,
so we advise parents to take care with young children.

Pets are welcome although I'm afraid we can only
accept one dog per visit. Dogs are absolutely not allowed in any
of the bedrooms and we ask that they don't use the furniture downstairs.
Please note that there is a farm next door so pets must be kept
under close control at all times.
FLOORPLAN
The cottage is situated over two floors. There are four bedrooms,
one ensuite, and a full bathroom on the first floor (upstairs).
On the ground floor is one bedroom, one full bathroom, two reception
rooms and the large open plan kitchen and dining area. Outside the
kitchen/dining area is a large slate paved patio for enjoying meals
or relaxing in the outdoors. The
full floorplan is available.
