POTTER'S BARN
HOLIDAY COTTAGE
Potter's Barn is situated on the edge of Gosforth,
a pleasant village in the Lake District National Park laying between
the hills and the sea in the west of Cumbria, which often has a
much warmer and drier climate than the rest of the Lake District.

From the north Gosforth is the gateway to Wasdale
and Eskdale, the former with its beautiful quiet lake and breathtaking
views of Great Gable and Scafell.

The sea is about two miles from Gosforth and at low
tide there are clean beaches with expanses of sand on which to play
and walk.

The village centre is within five minutes walking
distance and has a small group of village shops and pubs which will
provide most of your needs.

The barn is owned by Dick & Barbara Wright who
have lived in the area, running a pottery shop for many years. They
are more than happy to discuss plans for walking and other activities
in the Gosforth area, as well as the Lake District as a whole. They
can also order in bread and milk for your arrival if you would like
this in advance ... and Barbara is a superb cook with a skill for
baking cakes to greet you upon arrival!
