From the North

• Leave the M6 at Junction 40 (Penrith)
• Follow the A66 to Whitehaven.
• Follow signs to Whitehaven which will take you on the A595.
• On the A595 follow signs towards Barrow
• Go through Calder Bridge
• Turn left into Gosforth
• Turn left at the mini roundabout
• After you have passed the shops, turn right (signed Eskdale)
• Carry on for almost 2 miles and Santon House is on your left, just past a farm on your right.� If you pass a row of five terraced houses on your left opposite a turning to your right, you have gone just a bit too far.

From the South

• Leave the M6 at Junction 36 (Kendal)
• Follow the A590 to Newby Bridge.
• Follow the A5092 to Broughton in Furness.
• Follow the A595 towards Workington and Whitehaven.
• Go through Holmrook, past the Lutwidge Arms.
• After Holmrook, take the first right turning (signed to Santon Bridge)
• At the end of the road, turn left.
• Santon House is just over the top of the hill, the second house on your right.
